Free startup directories to submit your product to

These are the directories that will list your product for $0. Some are free outright, some are freemium with a free tier that works (we say which). We submitted real products to each one, so the ratings reflect the actual queue, the actual form and whether the free tier is worth your time.

Freemium

Good site with good submission process. The free queue is a couple of months.

Tiny Startups

πŸ‘πŸΌ

tinystartups.com

Freemium Direct submit link

Decent website with fine submission process. It's doing more upsale than GoDaddy but it is possible to do a free listing too, which is good. Queue time is less than a month. Unfortunately doesn't have a profile so if you submit multiple products or want to change details, it's a bit difficult to keep track.

Huzzler

πŸ‘πŸΌ

huzzler.so

Freemium Direct submit link

A great site! Very easy submit process and nice ability to choose free or paid submission. Good job!

MicroLaunch

πŸ‘πŸΌ

microlaunch.net

Freemium Direct submit link

I like this one. It has a queue for 2-3 months for free submissions. The process is pretty straight-forward though some information needs to be repeated when you're submitting multiple products.

TinyLaunch

πŸ‘πŸΌ

tinylaun.ch

Freemium Direct submit link

Like it. Simple and great submission process though they have a 0.2 MB limit on the logo. Pretty odd. One-page though no screenshots can be uploaded. That would have been nice. The upsale process is nicely handled. Free submissions are less than a week in the future.

Idea Kiln

ideakiln.com

Startup Listing

πŸ‘πŸΌ

startuplist.ing

Freemium Direct submit link

A new contender. A great design with a fine submission process. Would love ability to drag/drop icon/photos, though. Not pushing for buying premium listings, which is good. Queue time is undefined but probably fast because the site is very new.

Alternative.me

😐

alternative.me

Free Direct submit link

Looks decent with an easy submit process. But having Sublime Text as featured product makes me think OOOOLD πŸ˜‚

Open-Launch

😐

open-launch.com

Freemium Direct submit link

Fine submission process with a queue time around three month. Pay to get in front of queue.

Dev Hunt

😐

devhunt.org

Freemium Direct submit link

Only submitting developer tools. There is a ridiculous dropdown to choose the publishing period, where the free listing is set for one year in the future. But a fun twist in generating a video based off your description and screenshots. That works quite well.

Indie.Deals

😐

indie.deals

Freemium Direct submit link

Requires a backlink to submit a product for free

Startups Lab

😐

startupslab.site

Freemium Direct submit link

Like it. Design is simple and submission process is ok. Doesn't give an estimated queue period.

Find Your SaaS

😐

findyoursaas.com

Freemium Direct submit link

Easy onboarding and submission process. Looks decent.

ProductBurst

😐

productburst.com

Freemium

Looks pretty vibe-coded but the submission process is fine. Also queue is not (probably because it's not popular) that long.

We Use Rails

😐

weuserails.com

Free Direct submit link

Only allow projects build using the Ruby on Rails framework. Simple design with an ok submission process.

SideProjectors

πŸ’©

sideprojectors.com

Social signin doesn't work!

Startup Stash

πŸ’©

startupstash.com

Freemium Direct submit link

Only for dev tools and you need to go through a typeform to submit your product.

Startup Buffer

πŸ’©

startupbuffer.com

Freemium Direct submit link

Looks like a baaad vibe-coded design. Some messed up cat is chasing your mouse-cursor 🀦🏼. Submission process is a one-pager which is fine. The queue is a couple of months.

How to use this list

Free listings are the backbone of any launch: they are permanent backlinks, they surface in long-tail search, and they cost nothing but the time it takes to fill the form. That time is exactly what a launch package removes β€” the same name, tagline, description and screenshots go to every one of these without retyping.

Each directory page has our one-paragraph review, the pricing model, and a direct link to the submission form. Open the ones you want, and if you have a launch package, the Chrome extension fills the form for you: how autofill works.

New to this? Start with how to submit your startup to directories and the launch package checklist.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Are these directories really free?
Yes. Directories marked Free have no paid option at all. Directories marked Freemium have a free tier β€” usually a longer queue or fewer features β€” and an optional paid boost. We only include freemium sites where the free tier actually gets you listed.
How long does a free listing take to go live?
Anywhere from a day to three months, depending on the site. Free queues are the main thing directories use to nudge you toward paying. Our per-directory reviews mention the queue length where we measured one.
How many free directories should I submit to?
All of the well-rated ones. Each listing is a small, permanent signal. With a launch package the marginal cost of one more submission is a couple of minutes, so there is little reason to stop at ten.

Submit to every directory on this page.

Build a launch package from your product URL, then work through the list with copy-ready fields and Chrome autofill.
